Before the blink
of an eye, a deer
can leap three times
into mystery
and we say nothing
because words are priceless
but not all words are treasure.
Heaven shouts down
in a higher hush; and we
ascend with each
untaken breath
and sing
in silence, trying
to say the same thing.
