Comment Standards

We at the Reformed Journal encourage readers to become participants in conversations through our comments section.

To ensure a respectful space in which to converse, we reserve the right to both delete any comments that violate our standards and ban commenters who repeatedly violate our standards. We also reserve the right to close comments at any time.

Real names and a working email address are required to post comments. We will not add your email address to any of our lists but could use it to verify your existence or communicate with you if necessary.

If you do not wish to use your real name or email address for privacy or security reasons, please contact us at editors@reformedjournal.com.

The following will not be permitted:

  • Content generated by artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Promotional content or spam messages
  • Obscenity, profanity, vulgarity
  • Sexual, abusive, or suggestive content
  • Personal attacks including name-calling, harassment, threats, or bullying
  • ALL CAPS (no shouting!)
  • Fraud or impersonation
  • Promotion of illegal or dangerous actions
  • Violations of intellectual property rights
  • Disclosure of others’ private information

We recommend that comments be short and to the point, adding something new to the conversation rather than repeating what has already been stated.

We request that commentators limit themselves to two comments per article. If you’d like to have a longer conversation with another commentor, please take that private through a direct means of communication.
