Mike Owens maintains an appointment as Senior Research Professor at Valparaiso University in Indiana. His specialty is American literature from the mid-19th until the mid-20th century. He has secondary interests in composition and professional writing. Now that he is twice-retired, he also does adjunct work with Hope College.
