Consider the power of a word.

Let there be.

A word speaks the world into being, igniting evolution and the churning of the existence of everything.

A word punctures the universe with stars and planets, sending galaxies spinning light and life into the blackness of space.

Out of a word, the gasses of the sun gather, collect and roll around, centering our galaxy around the power of its own life-giving source, throwing waves of brilliance and warmth over the earth so we can wake at dawn and rest at dusk, and plant the seeds and harvest.

The power of a word.

Let there be.

Let there be peace on earth.

Let there be compassion and justice.

Let there be mercy and grace.

May the words be the seeds for what grows.

  1. The beauty of the frozen landscape aptly mirrors our inability to move toward concensus with each other. Let there be peace, let their be justice. Let our God move among us. Thank you for letting us walk with you.
