Sabbath rest offers a glimpse of eternity. Hebrews 4:9-10 reminds us, “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.” This points us toward the ultimate fulfillment of rest in Christ, where we will fully experience God’s shalom in the new creation.
